DELSU Revised Academic Calendar 2025/2026

Delta State University, DELSU, has revised the academic calendar for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The updated calendar sets out the return date for students, lecture period, revision week, examination dates, Senate consideration of results, and the semester break. For students tracking the term closely, the key dates are now laid out in one clear run.

Students return and lectures begin

All students are to return to campus on Sunday, 19 April 2026.

Lectures will begin on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Senate consideration of first semester results

The consideration of first semester results by Senate will take place on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.

CA submission and end of lectures

The last day for submission of Continuous Assessment, CA, scores to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is Thursday, 16 July 2026.

Lectures will end on Friday, 17 July 2026.

Revision and second semester examinations

Revision will run from Monday, 20 July to Friday, 24 July 2026.

Second semester examinations will begin on Monday, 27 July 2026, and end on Friday, 14 August 2026.

Second semester break

The second semester break will begin on Friday, 14 August 2026. The break will last 12 weeks.

Senate consideration of second semester results

Senate will consider the second semester results on Wednesday, 23 September 2026.

End of break and start of new session

The second semester break will end on Friday, 6 November 2026.

The first semester of the 2026/2027 academic session will begin on Monday, 9 November 2026.

Note on the first semester holiday

The first semester holiday for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin on Friday, 3 April 2026, and end on Friday, 17 April 2026.
