Eko University of Medicine and Health Sciences (EkoUNIMED), Lagos, has started accepting applications for the 2025/2026 academic session. If you're eyeing a career in medicine or health sciences, this is your window.

Available Courses at EkoUNIMED

EkoUNIMED runs two main faculties: Clinical Sciences and Basic Medical Sciences. Each one offers focused training with real-world relevance.

Faculty of Clinical Sciences

• MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
  
  Duration: 5 or 6 years, depending on your mode of entry

Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences

• B.Sc. Human Anatomy
• B.Sc. Medical Biochemistry
• B.Sc. Human Physiology
• B.Sc. Pharmacology
  
  Duration: Each of these runs for 3 or 4 years

Who Can Apply?

General Requirements

All applicants must have five credit passes in WAEC, NECO or GCE. These must include:

• English
• Maths
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

Results should not be from more than two sittings. For Basic Medical Sciences, the minimum UTME score is 180. For MBBS, it's 200. There may also be a screening or interview.

MBBS (Direct Entry)

If you're applying for direct entry into MBBS, you must meet at least one of these:

• A B.Sc. in Basic Medical or Biological Sciences from a recognised university (minimum of Second Class Lower)
• Two A-Level passes in relevant subjects
• A valid JUPEB result with acceptable grades

Basic Medical Sciences (Direct Entry)

To qualify, you must have any of the following:

• A B.Sc. in a relevant field from a recognised university (Second Class Lower or higher)
• An NCE or ND with at least Lower Credit
• Two A-Level passes
• A JUPEB result with suitable scores
