- Public Relation Officer (PRO)
Required qualifications
Applicants must hold a relevant academic qualification in one of the following areas:
- Mass Communication
- Public Relations
- English
- Marketing
- Journalism
- A related field
The qualification must come from a recognised school, with a minimum of a good grade or class.
Skills and experience needed
The college requires applicants who can develop and carry out communication strategies. The person must also be able to manage media relations and handle both internal and external communication for the college.
Applicants must have:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High ethical standards
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic ICT
- Proficiency in social media tools
The role also requires the ability to organise events, manage the College's image and reputation and respond professionally to public enquiries and concerns. That part is Plain enough; the job calls for someone who can speak for the college with care and clarity.
