First Class Muslim (FCM) Foundation Scholarship 2025

The FCM Foundation Scholarship has opened its doors for the 2025 session. It is a yearly support plan, small in length but deep in impact, meant for female Muslim students.

This is not a repeat grant, it is one-time help, yet the reach goes beyond cash. Winners get both financial aid and a one-day mentorship in Lagos. From there, post-scholarship guidance may follow and in some cases, even more support for advanced study. The idea is clear, give students a boost now so they can climb to first class at graduation.

Benefits of the FCM Foundation Scholarship

Winners receive:

• Direct scholarship funds.
• A one-day, in-person mentorship session.
• Continued mentorship and career guidance after the award.
• Possible backing for future study, if the need arises.

This is more than a cheque, it is a push, a nudge and a hand held steady.

Eligible schools for the FCM Foundation Scholarship

Only students in certain universities can apply. The list is long, but here it is in full:

1. Federal University of Technology, Akure
2. Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife
3. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
4. University of Ibadan, Ibadan
5. Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba
6. Ekiti State University, Ekiti
7. Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso
8. Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa
9. Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye
10. Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode
11. Osun State University, Osogbo
12. Ondo State University of Medical Sciences
13. University of Ilesa, Osun State
14. Federal University of Oye-Ekiti

So, if your campus is not here, no need to try, this round is not for you.

Who can apply for the FCM Foundation Scholarship

Applicants must:

• Be a female Muslim student.
• Be in 200 or 300 level.
• Be enrolled in one of the listed universities.
• Have at least 4.0 CGPA out of 5.0 or its equal.
• Be ready to attend the mentorship session in Lagos, in person.

It is strict, yes, but rules are rules.

How to apply for the FCM Foundation Scholarship

Go to the FCM Foundation scholarship application page and fill the online form. You must upload all the documents, clear and proper, before submission.

Documents you need

• Valid student ID card.
• A reference letter from a trusted Islamic organisation. No shortcuts here, it must be on letterheaded paper, addressed to The Executive Director, First Class Muslim Foundation, Lagos. Generic letters or ones from campus-based student groups will not pass.
• Your current result slip, stamped and signed by your Head of Department.
• A personal statement, no more than 300 words. It must be typed in Century Gothic, size 12, line spacing 1.5, with your full name on top. Save it as a PDF.

The statement should convince the panel why you deserve the award. Write it yourself, from the heart. If AI touches more than 20 percent of it, the system will catch it and you lose the chance now and later. They are serious about this.

Application deadline

Closing date is 10 September 2025. After this time, no more entries will be taken.
