Ukraine: FG to Place Returning Nigerian Students in Local Institutions

The Federal Government has announced that it is making plans to help Nigerian students who fled war-torn Ukraine gain admission to the country's tertiary institutions and continue their education.
In a statement issued on Monday, the government urged affected students to register online at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website.
The government is taking this step to allow returnee students who have been displaced by the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine to continue their education in the country's tertiary institutions.
According to a statement signed by Mrs. Francisca K. Omayuli, Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a window of opportunity exists for interested Nigerian students from Ukraine to act between July 4th and 15th, 2022 and provide the Ministry with the necessary information.
"The Federal Government of Nigeria wishes to inform Nigerian students who returned from Ukraine following the conflict in that country that efforts are being made to facilitate their placement into various Nigerian tertiary institutions, allowing them to continue their studies," the statement said.
"In this regard, interested students should go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website at https://www.foreignaffairs.gov.ng and fill out the online Nigerian Student in Ukraine (NSU) registration form with the necessary information on or before July 15th, 2022."
