FULOKOJA Global Institute for Infectious Disease Control (GIIDC) Admission Form

The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has opened applications for postgraduate programmes under the Global Institute for Infectious Disease Control (GIIDC) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This is an opportunity to join an institute dedicated to research and education in public health, infectious disease management and health equity.

The GIIDC at FULOKOJA is committed to addressing global health challenges through multidisciplinary education and collaboration with local and international stakeholders.

Programmes Available at GIIDC, FULOKOJA

Applications are invited for the following postgraduate programmes:

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Public Health.
2. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Community Health.
3. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Environmental and Occupational Health.
4. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Nutrition.
5. Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Molecular Biology and Genomics.

Admission Requirements for GIIDC Postgraduate Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• The PGD programme lasts for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters.
• Applicants must possess a first degree with at least a Third Class or an HND with at least a Lower Credit in a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Candidates must provide an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
• Credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at O' Level are required.
• HND graduates from relevant fields are encouraged to apply.

Master's Degree (M.Sc.)

• Candidates must meet the O' Level requirements stated above.
• Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least a Second-Class Lower in Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related fields from a recognised university.
• Candidates with an Upper Credit in PGD Microbiology from FULOKOJA or other recognised institutions may also apply.
• Other general requirements provided by the College of Postgraduate Studies at FULOKOJA may apply.
