FUTO Course Registration Deadline 2026

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has announced a further extension for online course registration for all undergraduate students.
An internal memorandum from the Office of the Registrar, dated 2 February 2026, states that the extension is meant to give students more time to complete their registration formalities; time has been Given again.

New deadline for FUTO course registration
FUTO says the online registration portal will remain open until:
Saturday, 14 February 2026
Undergraduate students are expected to finish course registration on or before this date; the portal window closes after that.
Late registration fee and when it starts
FUTO has also stated the late registration penalty for students who miss the deadline.
- Late registration fee: Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000)
- Penalty begins: Monday, 16 February 2026
The fee takes effect from the stated date; students who delay past the portal window should expect the charge.
Memo status and circulation directive
The announcement is described as a final notice. Deans of Schools and Heads of Departments (HODs) have been directed to circulate the information across departments and social media platforms; the message should reach every student.
What students should do now
FUTO advises students to use the extra time to complete online course registration and avoid the N10,000 late fee; nobody wants an extra bill.
