JAMB Mop-Up Exam

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has fixed Saturday, 13 June 2026, for the 2026 UTME mop-up examination.

The exam is for candidates who showed up for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, went through biometric verification, but could not sit the paper for one reason or another. It also covers listed candidates affected by other issues from the main UTME exercise.

Who Will Sit for the JAMB Mop-Up Examination?

JAMB has listed candidates who presented themselves for the 2026 UTME but could not take the examination.

Some centres had technical challenges during the main exam period, and those problems stopped some candidates from writing their papers. Some other candidates also faced biometric verification issues, while JAMB later withdrew some results over examination infractions.

Those affected candidates now fall under the mop-up arrangement.

2026 UTME Dates and Why the Mop-Up Matters

JAMB conducted the 2026 UTME from 16 April to 25 April 2026.

After the exercise, some cases remained unresolved. The mop-up examination now serves as the final stage of the 2026 UTME process for candidates who appeared for the exam but could not complete it due to the listed challenges.

This is the last window. JAMB stated that no candidate will get another chance to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up examination.

When Candidates Should Print Their Slips

Affected candidates should start printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, 6 June 2026.

The slip will help each candidate know the examination centre and other details for the mop-up. Candidates should print early, check the centre, and make all needed arrangements before the examination day.

What Affected Candidates Should Do Before 13 June

Candidates listed for the mop-up should take the notice seriously.

They should print their Examination Notification Slips, confirm their centres, and plan their movement before Saturday, 13 June 2026. A late check can create problems, especially for candidates posted to centres outside their usual area.

Final Note for 2026 UTME Candidates

The JAMB mop-up examination closes the 2026 UTME cycle for affected candidates.

Anyone listed for the mop-up should treat the date as final, prepare ahead, and follow the details on the notification slip.
