JAMB Reschedules UTME: Technical Challenges Resolved
JAMB reschedules the ongoing UTME for candidates affected by technical challenges. The Board has announced new examination notifications and reassured candidates that no one will be denied their right to take the exam. The technical team is working diligently to ensure a smooth experience.
In light of recent technical issues that arose during the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a rescheduling for affected candidates. The announcement came in a statement released by Dr Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol at JAMB, on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to the statement, candidates who were unable to take the exam due to technical difficulties will need to print a new examination notification early on Wednesday, 26th April 2023, to find out their rescheduled sessions. The issues affected approximately 100 centres out of the 708 participating in the 2023 UTME exercise across the country. These technical challenges prevented the allotted candidates from successfully completing their examinations.

JAMB expressed its commitment to providing world-class assessments in line with global best practices and regretted any inconvenience experienced by candidates and their parents. The statement explained that the challenges encountered were due to novel features introduced by the Board to protect the integrity of the examination and combat incidences of misconduct.
In response to the situation, JAMB's technical team is working around the clock to ensure a smooth experience for candidates taking the exam on Wednesday. The Board also reassured Nigerians that no candidate would be denied the right to take their examination. If any challenges arise, the affected candidate will be rescheduled to take the exam on the next available date and space.
