Top UTME 2025 Scorers Revealed by JAMB - Meet the Champions

At the 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the list of top scorers from this year’s UTME. Leading the chart is Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State with a score of 375.

But there’s a snag.

Something Doesn’t Add Up

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said Okeke’s records raised red flags. Although he applied to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), the board discovered that Okeke had already been admitted into Medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) four years ago.

According to Prof. Oloyede, UNN confirmed he’s still an active medical student. No withdrawal notice. No transfer. Nothing.

The matter has been passed to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, with JAMB recommending that Okeke should not be allowed to practise as a doctor under such circumstances.
