KOMU Post UTME and Direct Entry Form for 2026/2027 Undergraduate Admission

Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University will begin registration for the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise on Monday, 1 June 2026. Eligible candidates who chose KOMU as first choice during the 2026 UTME or applied through Direct Entry, are invited to register.

The application will close on Friday, 31 July 2026. Candidates are expected to complete the online application, pay the ₦2,000 processing fee and print the acknowledgement slip before the screening day.

When will KOMU Post UTME registration start and close?

KOMU Post UTME and Direct Entry registration will start on Monday, 1 June 2026. The application will close on Friday, 31 July 2026.

Candidates should complete the online registration within the stated period; only those who successfully complete and submit their applications online will be considered for admission. Late action may affect eligibility.

Who can apply for KOMU Post UTME?

Candidates who selected Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University as first choice during the 2026 UTME may apply. Direct Entry candidates who applied to KOMU may also register for the screening exercise.

Candidates who did not originally select KOMU may apply for other programmes if they scored 150 or above and complete the JAMB CAPS change to KOMU. Admission into each programme will also depend on the minimum JAMB score fixed for that programme.

Which KOMU courses are restricted to original first-choice candidates?

Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Law and Medical Laboratory Science are restricted to candidates who selected KOMU as first choice during the 2026 UTME registration. Candidates who changed to KOMU as first choice after the UTME registration will not be considered for these courses.

Which KOMU programme requires 200?

Medical Laboratory Science requires a minimum JAMB score of 200. The programme is also restricted to candidates who originally selected KOMU as first choice during the 2026 UTME registration.

Which KOMU programmes require 210?

Law and Nursing Science require a minimum JAMB score of 210. Both programmes are restricted to candidates who originally chose KOMU as first choice.

Which KOMU programme requires 220?

Medicine and Surgery requires a minimum JAMB score of 220. The course is open only to candidates who selected KOMU as first choice during the original 2026 UTME registration.

What are the KOMU Direct Entry requirements?

Direct Entry candidates must possess OND, HND, First Degree or A'Level qualifications in relevant disciplines. They must also have five O'Level credit passes in relevant subjects at no more than two sittings.

The Direct Entry record should match the candidate's proposed course. Details supplied during registration should also match the candidate's JAMB and academic records.

How will KOMU conduct the screening exercise?

The 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise will be based on verified JAMB scores and O'Level results uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System. Accepted O'Level result types are WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB.

Candidates are required to upload their O'Level results on JAMB CAPS. The university will use the uploaded records during screening.

What should candidates check before registration?

Candidates should ensure that their JAMB CAPS details match the information provided on the KOMU Post UTME application portal. This includes JAMB registration number, date of birth, state of origin and related personal details.

Candidates should also use valid mobile phone numbers and email addresses. These contact details will be used for admission communication.

How much is the KOMU Post UTME form?

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000. Payment will be made during online registration.

The payment will be processed through Remita. Candidates should confirm the name, phone number, email address, reference number and amount payable before submitting payment.

How can candidates apply for KOMU Post UTME or Direct Entry?

Candidates are to complete registration through the KOMU undergraduate application guide page. The form should be filled completely and correctly.

  2. Click "Start Your Admission Process."
  3. Click "Start Application Process."
  4. Fill out the application form completely and correctly.
  5. Click "Submit."
  6. Proceed to pay the Post UTME or Direct Entry application fee of ₦2,000.
  7. Confirm the Remita details displayed on the payment page.
  8. Select a preferred payment method and follow the prompts to complete payment.

Remita supports card payment, bank transfer, USSD, bank invoice, Remita wallet and phone number payment. Candidates should follow the payment option that is available to them.

How can candidates print the KOMU acknowledgement slip?

Candidates are required to print the acknowledgement slip after completing the application. The slip must be brought to the university on the screening day.

  2. Enter the Application Number.
  3. Print the acknowledgement slip.
  4. Bring the printed slip to the university on the screening day.

How can candidates retrieve a forgotten Application Number?

Applicants who have forgotten their Application Number can retrieve their acknowledgement slip through the university website. The JAMB Registration Number will be required.
