KSUSTA Renamed Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology
Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero has changed its name to Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero. The new name takes effect immediately.
New Name, Same Campus
The Kebbi State government has approved a new name for Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA). The school will now be called Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA).
This change was officially confirmed in a letter dated 27 May 2025, sent by the state’s Commissioner for Higher Education on behalf of Governor Dr Nasir Idris.
What This Means
The renaming has passed through the State House of Assembly and is now official. From this point forward, all letters, forms, references, and records should carry the updated name: AFUSTA.
The university community and the public are expected to follow this new direction. It may take some time to get used to, but it’s already in effect.
Final Note
Nothing else about the university’s structure or operations has changed. It’s just the name that’s new. The management appreciates your support as they switch over.
