ADUSTECH Academic Calendar for 2nd Semester 2025/2026 Academic Session

Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology has released the academic calendar for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar gives students and staff the approved dates for lectures, assessments, examinations, result processing, SIWES, SWEP and the start of the next session.

The second semester will begin with lectures on Monday, 1 June 2026. It will end with the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic session on Monday, 14 December 2026.

When will ADUSTECH second semester lectures begin?

Second semester lectures will begin on Monday, 1 June 2026. The lecture period will run for 12 weeks and end on Friday, 21 August 2026.

Students are expected to follow the lecture timetable within this period; the calendar also includes public holidays, assessment weeks and the mid-semester break. The semester has a compact schedule.

What public holidays fall within the semester?

Two public holidays have been listed within the second semester calendar. Eid el-Kabir holiday will be observed on Thursday, 28 May 2026, while Democracy Day holiday will be observed on Friday, 12 June 2026.

Students and staff should take note of these dates while planning academic activities. The main lecture period still runs from 1 June to 21 August 2026.

When are the continuous assessments and Add and Drop period?

The first continuous assessment and Add and Drop period will run from Monday, 6 July to Friday, 10 July 2026. Students who need course changes should follow the approved process within this stated window.

Requests for incomplete status will be submitted from Monday, 14 September to Friday, 25 September 2026. Students who fall under this category should act within the approved period.

When will board and Senate meetings on results hold?

Departmental Board meetings will hold from Monday, 5 October to Friday, 16 October 2026. Faculty Board meetings will follow from Monday, 19 October to Friday, 30 October 2026.

The Senate Business Committee meeting on results will run from Monday, 2 November to Friday, 13 November 2026. The Senate meeting on results will hold on Wednesday, 18 November 2026.

When will SIWES and SWEP take place?

Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme and Students Work Experience Programme will run from Monday, 14 September to Friday, 11 December 2026. The period will last for 13 weeks.

Students affected by SIWES or SWEP should follow their departmental guidance during this period. The calendar places the training period after the second semester examinations.

When will the 2026/2027 academic session begin?

The 2026/2027 academic session will begin on Monday, 14 December 2026. This date comes after the SIWES and SWEP period.
