LASU Online Campus Tour

The DICT, Lagos State University (LASU) has announced with excitement the launch of a 360 degree immersive experience Campus Tour.

The Director of ICT, Toyin Enikuomehin, PhD announced that the Virtual or VR campus tour is a digital walkthrough of the Lagos State University that allows prospective students, their parents and the general public to carry out a full online viewing of faculties, directorates, Centres and many other ICONIC structures within the University.

The Ag. Director further elucidates that The tour takes prospective students and parents on an in-depth virtual walkthrough, exploring rooms and facilities.

Visitors get accompanied by animated avatars that narrate through the campus, giving them deeper insights into the school’s unique programs and guiding their attention to key areas along their journey. To further attract engagement from visitors, the virtual tour uses a range of immersive multimedia elements such as an avatar animation, 360-degree videos, an audio guide, and a 2D vector 3D isometric campus map.

Virtual Tourist (VT) immersive 360-degree video takes you inside the University and shows you, using pop-up Arrows and door images, the access to selected offices.

The product is an output of several weeks of engagement. The Vice-Chancellor Prof I.I. Olatunji-Bello, mni lauded the innovation and direct the immediate deployment of the same on the LASU website.

The experience allows the tourist to explore the University from anywhere in the world. Alternatively, users can jump to any of the listed locations to view.
