LASU Open and Distance Learning Degree Admission Form 2025

The Lagos State University (LASU) Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute (ODLRI) is now selling application forms for admission into its B.Sc. Business Administration programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The Institute was established by the Senate and Council of Lagos State University and approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to cater to individuals eager for higher education but unable to access it due to time constraints or limited admission spaces in conventional institutions. The Institute is research-oriented and aims to produce world-class graduates equipped with 21st-century skills to contribute meaningfully to socio-economic development.

Available Programme: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration

Programme Duration:  The LASU ODLRI B.Sc. Degree Programme runs for four years, just like the standard on-campus course. It includes regular academic activities and research-based learning, all adapted for distance learners.

Mode of Teaching and Learning: Classes are delivered through blended learning, meaning both online and face-to-face interaction where needed. The system is built to be fast, reliable and accessible. Students are expected to be comfortable using computers and the internet since most lectures and materials will be shared online.

Admission Requirements

Eligible applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:

• WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O' Level) or equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects at not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) relevant subjects from Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Government, Geography, and Business Studies.

This programme is suitable for:

• adults who could not gain admission through the conventional university system
• working-class individuals seeking a university degree
• individuals interested in acquiring entrepreneurial skills

Age Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time they enter the programme. Anything below that won't be accepted.

• Visit lasu.edu.ng/odlri for detailed programme information.
• Click "Apply Now."
• View the requirements.
• Proceed to make the non-refundable payment of ₦25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand Naira only) for the ODLRI Application Fee.
  • Note: All LASU payments are made online.
• Complete the application form.
• Submit the application online.
• Check back to view admission status. If offered admission, print the admission letter.

Important Information for Applicants

• Admission is subject to the availability of space for qualified applicants.
• Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
• Only certificates (not statement of result slips) are acceptable for results obtained before 2010.
• All applications must be completed and submitted online on or before Sunday, 30th November 2025.
