LASU Supplementary Postgraduate Admission Form

The Lagos State University (LASU) Supplementary Part-Time and Full-Time Admission into Postgraduate Programmes is now open for the 2023/2024 academic session.

This offers a valuable opportunity for prospective students to pursue advanced studies in various disciplines.

General Admission Requirements

To qualify for any postgraduate programme, you must have:

• Five (5) O' Level credits, including English Language, at Ordinary Level (GCE, WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB) for all courses.
• Credit in Mathematics at Ordinary Level is required for Science, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Educational Management courses.

Available Programmes

A. LASU Consult

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurial Studies (PGD)
   • Requirements: A Professional Certificate, Higher National Diploma (HND) or First Degree (Minimum of Third Class) in a related discipline.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
2. Master of Entrepreneurial Studies (Full-Time and Part-Time)
   • Requirements: B.Sc. Second Class Lower or HND with PGD in a related discipline.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
3. Doctor of Entrepreneurial Studies
   • Requirements: Professional Master's Degree/M.Sc. with a CGPA of 3.5 (3.0 may be accepted with make-up courses).
   • Duration: Three (3) Sessions (Full-Time and Part-Time).

B. Faculty of Management Sciences

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Enterprise System (PGD)
   • Requirements: A degree or HND not lower than Lower Credit in a related field.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
2. Master of Energy Enterprise System (Full-Time and Part-Time)
   • Requirements: A degree in relevant fields with at least Third Class or a PGD in Energy-related courses.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).

C. Faculty of Law

1. M.Phil/Ph.D in Law
   • Requirements: CGPA of at least 4.0 in LL.M from LASU or any approved university.
   • Duration: Minimum of Eight (8) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
2. Ph.D in Law
   • Requirements: CGPA of at least 4.0 in LL.M from LASU or any recognised university.
   • Duration: Minimum of Six (6) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).

D. Food Security and Sustainability

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Food Security and Sustainability
   • Requirements: Graduate from any recognised university.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Part-Time).
2. Master Degree (M.Sc) in Food Security and Sustainability
   • Requirements: Graduate with a background in Social Sciences, Science, Agricultural Science or related disciplines.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Full-Time).
3. Professional Masters Degree in Food Security and Sustainability (MFSS)
   • Requirements: Graduate with a background in Social Sciences, Sciences, Agricultural Science or related disciplines.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).

E. Water Resources Management and Sustainability

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Water Resources Management & Sustainability
   • Requirements: Graduate of LASU or any recognised university.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
2. Master of Water Resources Management and Sustainability (M.Sc)
   • Requirements: Graduate with a background in environmental studies, Social Sciences, Sciences, Agricultural Science or related fields.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
3. Professional Master in Water Resources Management and Sustainability
   • Requirements: Graduate with a background in environmental studies, Social Sciences, Sciences, Agricultural Science or related fields, with at least two years of relevant work experience.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).

F. Centre for the Actualisation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (LASU-SDG)

1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Sustainable Development & Policies
   • Requirements: Graduate from any recognised university.
   • Duration: Three (3) Semesters (Part-Time).
2. Master Degree (M.Sc) in Sustainable Development and Policies
   • Requirements: Graduate from any recognised university.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).
3. Professional Masters Degree in Sustainable Development and Policies (MSDP)
   • Requirements: Graduate from any recognised university.
   • Duration: Four (4) Semesters (Full-Time and Part-Time).

Application Process

• Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of N30,300.00 online to LASU.
• All applicants must sit for a qualifying Entrance Examination on the Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

Important Dates

• Application forms will be available for six (6) weeks from the date of publication.
• Submission of application forms should be completed online and a copy of the e-Registration slip should be printed by the applicant.

Important Notes

• Candidates who have not completed NYSC or are currently enrolled in other Postgraduate Programmes should not apply.
• All academic transcripts must be received within two weeks after the sale of forms ends.
• Requests to transfer processed application forms from one department to another will not be accepted.
• Candidates must attend the selection and written examinations in person; no make-up tests will be conducted.
• Include email addresses/phone numbers on the application form.
