About the Liberty Career Academy Scholarship

The LCA Scholarship is a youth empowerment project that invests in students with outstanding merit, proven financial need or a passion for hands-on trades. It is open to undergraduates and prospective students in accredited Nigerian universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and vocational training centres.

Scholarship Categories and Benefits

The scholarship is divided into three categories, each designed to meet different student needs:

1. Merit-Based Award

For students with exceptional academic results and leadership experience.

• Benefit: ₦150,000
• Eligibility: Minimum CGPA of 3.70/5.0 or JAMB score of 240/400
• Extra Requirement: Evidence of extracurricular activities and leadership participation

2. Adeola Okungbaye Award

This category supports orphans and students from single-parent homes facing financial hardship.

• Benefit: ₦200,000
• Eligibility: Minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 or JAMB score of 220/400
• Extra Requirement: Proof of financial need and family status

3. Gifted Hands Award

For talented artisans and vocational trainees looking to build technical careers.

• Benefit: ₦100,000
• Eligibility: Age 18–25, currently unemployed or enrolled in a technical institution
• Extra Requirement: Evidence of practical skill and leadership potential

General Requirements

To qualify, all applicants must:

• Provide verified academic records (WASSCE, JAMB or CGPA)
• Be Nigerian citizens or legal residents from another African country studying in Nigeria
• Present a valid government-issued or family-supported ID
• Submit a 500-word personal statement written in their own words (AI-generated work will be disqualified)
