LUTH SHIM Admission Form 2026/2027 | ND & HND

Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, School of Health Information Management, SHIM, has opened admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The admission is for candidates seeking National Diploma, ND or Higher National Diploma, HND, in Health Information Management and applications will be made through the LUTH schools admission portal.

What Is LUTH SHIM Admission About?

LUTH School of Health Information Management is for candidates who want ND or HND training in Health Information Management.

The school is approved by the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE and the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria, HRORBN.

Who Can Apply for the ND Programme?

Candidates applying for the ND programme will be required to meet the stated O'Level, JAMB and screening conditions.

The ND requirements are:

• Five O'Level credits in no more than two sittings
• Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• JAMB score of 160 or above
• A pass in the POST UTME examination conducted by SHIM
• Valid details for admission review
• Attendance at the school screening exercise

The JAMB score, O'Level subjects and POST UTME performance will be part of the admission process, so applicants should check their details before the online form is completed.

Who Can Apply for the HND Programme?

Candidates applying for the HND programme will be required to meet the same five science subject credit requirement stated for ND applicants.

HND applicants must also have a National Diploma in Health Information Management from an NBTE-accredited school, with at least Lower Credit. One year of work experience, through industrial or clinical attachment at a recognised health facility, is also required.

What Test Will HND Applicants Sit For?

HND applicants will be required to sit for both a written test and an oral interview.

The test and interview will be held at the SHIM school hall or Human Resources Centre.

What Email Requirement Applies to Applicants?

Applicants will be required to use a valid email address during the online application process.

The email address will be used for login details, payment information and other application messages, so it should be active and accessible to the applicant.

How Will Candidates Apply for LUTH SHIM Admission?

The email will include information on how payment will be made immediately or within 24 hours. Failure to make payment within the stated period will require the applicant to re-register.

What Happens If an Applicant Wants to Pay Immediately?

Applicants who want to pay immediately will see a "Make payment" prompt after account creation.

The applicant will be redirected to the Remita website, where payment will be made. A Remita Retrieval Reference, RRR, code generated when the account was created will be attached and various payment options will be available on the platform.

What Should Applicants Do After Payment?

After successful payment, applicants should return to the LUTH schools admission portal and click "Login" at the top right corner.

They will log in with the user ID sent through email, then complete the application form for the desired programme.

What Must Applicants Print After Application?

Applicants must print out their completed online application biodata in colour.

The coloured biodata form will be sent to the applicant's email after completion of the application and shortlisted candidates will be required to present it during the entrance examinations.

Has the Closing Date Been Announced?
