• Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW)

• Epidemiology and Disease Control Technology (ND & HND)
• Public Health (ND)
• Pharmacy Technician
• Health Technician

General Entry Requirements

Types of Programmes

There are two categories of programmes offered:

1. Regulatory Body and Institution-Certified Courses: These programmes are accredited by regulatory bodies or through affiliations with other institutions.
2. College-Certified Courses: These are short courses developed and standardised by the college.

National Diploma (ND)

To be eligible for the National Diploma programmes, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:

• SSCE, WASC, GCE, NECO with credits in four subjects relevant to the programme, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. At least one science subject (Health Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Food and Nutrition) must be included.

Technician Cadre

For technician programmes, candidates must have:

• O'Level WASC, SSCE, GCE or NECO with three credits in biology, health science, physics, chemistry or another science subject, plus two passes in English and Mathematics. These should be obtained in no more than two sittings.

Certificate Courses

For certificate programmes, candidates need:

• Five O'Level passes, including English Language, Mathematics and Biology/Health Science, obtained in no more than two sittings. Chemistry is required for certain programmes.

Additional Notes

• The most current qualification entry requirements are available from the various departments and statutory boards.
• Specific requirements depend on the recommendations of the Board/Council regulating each programme. Always check with the departments for the precise requirements.
