Applications have been invited from qualified and interested members of the public for admission into the 13th Regular Course Degree Programmes of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
The online application portal will be open for six weeks, from 3 June 2026 to 15 July 2026 and prospective applicants will be required to complete and submit the online application form within this period.

Who can apply for POLAC 13th Regular Course admission?
Admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is open to male and female Nigerians of good character.
Applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth, they must have a National Identity Number and they must have a 2026 JAMB result with a score of at least 180.
POLAC must also have been selected as First Choice on the JAMB form.
What are the academic requirements for POLAC admission?
Applicants must possess at least six credits from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or an equivalent examination.
The credits must be obtained within two sittings and English Language and Mathematics must be included.
SSCE statements of results or certificates from examinations taken before 2023 will not be accepted.
What age is required for Nigeria Police Academy admission?
Applicants must be between 16 and 21 years old by 31 October 2026.
The age requirement will be checked as part of the admission process, so candidates should confirm that their date of birth falls within the stated range before application is made.
What physical and medical standards are required?
Applicants must be medically, physically and psychologically fit.
Male applicants must be at least 1.67 metres tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.64 metres tall.
Male applicants must also have an expanded chest measurement of at least 86 centimetres, which is 34 inches.
Can married or pregnant applicants apply?
Applicants must be unmarried at the time of admission.
Female applicants must also not be pregnant at the time of admission.
What contact details must applicants provide?
Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number.
These details will be used for admission communication, including notification of successful applicants through email and SMS.
How much is the POLAC admission application fee?
The application fee is N6,000 only.
The amount includes N2,000 for the Post UTME examination and the fee is non-refundable.
How can applicants apply for POLAC 13th Regular Course?
Applicants are to use the Nigeria Police Academy application portal to obtain or generate a Remita Retrieval Reference code.
The RRR code will be used to pay the non-refundable fee through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.
The application process is as follows:
- Visit the Nigeria Police Academy application portal.
- Generate the Remita Retrieval Reference code.
- Pay the application fee of N6,000 through any commercial bank branch.
- Complete the online application form.
- Upload scanned copies of the SSCE result, birth certificate and certificate of origin.
- Print the completed online form and guarantor form.
- Submit the printed forms at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, during the aptitude test.
What documents will be uploaded during application?
Applicants will be required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- SSCE result
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of origin
The documents should be clear enough for review during the online application process.
When will the POLAC aptitude test hold?
All applicants will undergo an aptitude test at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, ICT Centre.
The aptitude test will be computer-based and the date will be communicated later.
What happens after the aptitude test?
Applicants who meet the CBT mark requirements will be invited for the automated physical screening exercise.
The exercise will take place at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, on a date to be communicated later.
What documents are required for physical screening?
Applicants will present original copies of specified documents during the automated physical screening exercise.
The required documents are:
- Educational qualifications
- Birth certificate or declaration of age
- Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital
- Evidence of good character from the village or district head of the applicant
- Indigene certificate signed by a Local Government Chairman or Secretary
- Guarantor form from an approved guarantor
The guarantor must be a public servant not below Grade Level 13, a police officer not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or an equivalent officer from the Armed Forces or other paramilitary services.
When will medical screening and interview be conducted?
Applicants who scale through the computer-based aptitude test will be invited for automated medical screening at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.
Successful applicants will further undergo an automated interview and selection exercise.
How will successful applicants be notified?
Successful applicants will be notified through their email addresses and SMS.
Training will commence at the Academy on a date to be communicated later.

What is the nature and duration of POLAC degree programmes?
Applicants admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy degree programmes will undergo combined academic and police training for a minimum period of five years.
The programme will lead to the award of a Bachelor's Degree and successful candidates will be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II.
