COVID-19: OAU Notice to Students on Reopening
Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU special release to all students – Stay at Home Until the University Reopens
The attention of the Division of Student Affairs has been drawn to a Release purportedly written and circulated by some faceless individuals informing all students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to report to Obafemi Awolowo University Campus to evacuate all their belongings from the Halls of Residence.
The Division wishes to intimate all students that the said Release did not emanate from the Division of Student Affairs of this University. As far as we know, this Division has not issued any Release to invite the students to the Obafemi Awolowo University Campus as of now.
All students are therefore enjoined to disregard the purported Release and continue to stay in their respective homes until further notice.
All Hall Wardens should please note that students are not allowed to gain entrance into the Halls of Residence for any reason until the University reopens officially for academic activities.
Thank you.
Prof. I. O. Aransi
Dean,
Division of Student Affairs.
