OYSCHST Eleyele Admission Form 2024/2025: Apply Now for Health and Technology Programmes

The Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (OYSCHST), Eleyele, Ibadan, is now inviting applications for the 2024/2025 academic session. Previously known as the School of Hygiene, this prestigious institution offers a variety of health science programmes designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge.

Admission Requirements and Available Programmes

Department of Public Health Nursing

HND in Public Health Nursing

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry (maximum of two sittings).
  • Either a Registered Nursing (RN) certificate, a BNSc from an NUC-accredited university or a BNSc from a foreign university with verification from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters); 1 year (2 semesters) for BNSc holders.

Diploma for Health Technicians (Direct Entry)

• Requirements:
  • Four O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and one other science subject (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

Diploma for Health Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Four O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and a social science subject, plus 2 years of working experience.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Certificate for Health Assistants

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Biology/Health Science and any other two subjects.
  • Candidates with lower qualifications but with health sector experience may be considered.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Environmental Health

Diploma in Health Promotion and Education

• Requirements:
  • Four credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science and one other subject.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Diploma for Environmental Health Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Four credit passes in English Language, Biology/Health Science and two from Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, plus a pass in one other subject.
  • Holders of EHA, Dental Surgery Assistants, JCHEW or similar qualifications with 2 years of experience can apply for direct entry into 200 level.
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

National Diploma in Environmental Health Technology

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Admission through JAMB UTME.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Diploma in Hospitality Management

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and two from Economics, Biology or Chemistry.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Community Health

Diploma in Community Health (CHEW)

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics (maximum of two sittings).
  • JCHEW with 2 years of experience and registration with CHPRBN.
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters) for fresh candidates; 2 years (4 semesters) for JCHEW holders.

Certificate in Community Health (JCHEW)

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two other subjects (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Health Information Management

Professional Diploma in Health Information Management

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry/Physics and one other subject.
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

National Diploma in Health Information Management

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Admission through JAMB UTME.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Pharmacy Technicians' Training

Certificate for Pharmacy Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

Department of Oral Health Science

Professional Diploma for Dental Surgery Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in Biology, Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

National Diploma in Dental Therapy

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Admission through JAMB UTME.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

National Diploma in Dental Nursing

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Admission through JAMB UTME.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences

Certificate for Medical Laboratory Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

Department of Nutrition and Dietetics

National Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics

• Requirements:
  • Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Admission through JAMB UTME.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Complementary Health Sciences

Diploma in Complementary Health Sciences (Natural/Alternative Medicine)

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Physics and Chemistry, plus a pass in Yoruba Language (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Department of Medical Image Processing/X-Ray Technicians

Diploma for Medical Image Processing/X-Ray Technicians

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Health Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

Department of Allied Health Sciences

Diploma in Medical Social Work

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two other subjects.
  • Certificate in Social Work.
• Duration: 2 years (4 semesters).

Professional Diploma in Mental Health and Psychiatric Rehabilitation

• Requirements:
  • Five O'Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (maximum of two sittings).
• Duration: 3 years (6 semesters).

How to Apply

1. Visit the OYSCHST website.
2. Click on the "2024/2025 Admission" link.
3. Generate the payment invoice by providing your email and phone number.
4. Complete the payment using your ATM/DEBIT card.
5. After payment, you will receive a Transaction Reference and Registration PIN via email.
6. Use the PIN and Reference to complete the online registration form.
7. Upload a passport photograph and submit your registration.
8. Print the acknowledgment slip and wait for further instructions from the college.

Important Dates

• 1st July 2024: Entrance exam for Health Technicians, Health Assistants, Complementary Health Sciences, Health Information Management, Dental Surgery Technicians.
• 2nd July 2024: Entrance exam for Pharmacy Technicians, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Community Health (JCHEW), Medical Image Processing/X-ray Technician.
• 3rd July 2024: Entrance exam for Community Health (CHEW) Batch 1.
• 4th July 2024: Entrance exam for Community Health (CHEW) Batch 2, Medical Social Work, Mental Health and Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Note: The entrance examination will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
