PICFI Undergraduate Scholarship Award 2025

Let's be honest. Scholarships aren't always easy to come by and when one comes from a group like PICFI—that's the Petroleum Industry Christian Fellowship International, by the way—it's worth paying attention.

No hype, no noise. Just a simple offer: if you're a 200-level student in a public uni, doing well in your course and not already tied to some other scholarship, this one's for you. And yes, they're serious.

Who Can Apply?

Before you get carried away, check if you tick the boxes:

• You must be a full-time student in a Federal or State university in Nigeria.
• You can't be more than 25 years old by 31st December 2025.
• You must be in 200 level with at least a 3.5 CGPA (that's Second Class Upper for those keeping track).
• No double-dipping. If you're on another scholarship, this one isn't for you.
• Be ready to show up at their national prayer conference for a retreat if you get selected.

What Courses Are Covered?

They're not handing this out to everyone. Your course must fall under one of these:

• Sciences or Applied Sciences
• Engineering and its tech cousins
• Mathematics
• Law
• Economics
• Accounting

If you're in any of these fields, you're in the running.

Application Details: Don't Mess It Up

This part matters. Even if you qualify, a sloppy application can knock you out. Here's what they need:

• Passport photo (white background, not older than 3 months, small size please)
• Admission letter
• School ID card
• Statement of result or transcript
• Birth certificate

Make sure the names match across all documents. If not, get an affidavit. Also, label your documents properly. Uploading "IMG-20250801" won't help anyone.

Steps to Apply

1. Go to the application portal.
2. Click "Apply Now", then "Register Now".
3. Activate your account through the link in your email.
4. Log in and fill in your personal and academic info. Upload the required documents.
5. When asked to upload a photo, use the passport pic with white background.
6. Hit "Apply Now" again to finalise your entry.
7. You'll get an email and SMS if your application goes through.

You're not done yet.

8. Go back to the site, log in and download your profile.
9. Get your Head of Department to sign it.
10. Upload the signed version. This is key for verification.

About the NIN Bit

They say NIN isn't mandatory, but if you've got it, throw it in. If you don't and want to get it:

• Go to ninenrol.gov.ng
• Create an account and fill out the form.
• Schedule your fingerprint capture.
• Visit a NIMC centre to finish up.

You can always update your application later once you get your NIN.

Watch Out

• No multiple applications. They will disqualify you. No "I didn't know" excuse.
• The deadline is 16th August 2025, so don't drag your feet.
