The Federal Ministry of Education has issued a strong rebuttal against a fake document circulating among parents, falsely claiming to be from the Director of the Senior Secondary Education Department.
This fraudulent document has caused concern by falsely stating that new students in Federal Unity Colleges (FUCs) are required to pay excessive fees.

The Ministry has made it clear that this document is completely fake and did not come from the official channels of the Senior Secondary Education Department.
The highest fees for new students in Federal Unity Colleges stand at N100,000, which covers boarding fees, uniforms, textbooks, exercise books and other necessary items.
Tuition remains free for all students.
Identifying the Fake Document
The Ministry highlighted several flaws in the fake document, including incorrect addresses and numerous spelling errors.
These errors further confirm that the document is not an official release.

Hajia Binta Abdulkadir, Director of Senior Secondary Education, has signed off on this clarification to ensure parents and guardians are well-informed and not misled by such fraudulent claims.
