RSU 2025/2026 Academic Session Begins November 3

The management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced that academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin on Monday, 3 November 2025.

According to a press release signed by the Registrar, Mrs I. B. S. Harry and dated 24 October 2025, the university management has approved that all hostels will open on Sunday, 2 November 2025, to allow duly registered students to check in before lectures commence.

Students are encouraged to make early preparations by completing all registration and payment processes before resumption.

RSU Hostels and Student Conduct Guidelines

The university advised all students to pay their school fees and accommodation fees promptly to secure hostel bed spaces.

As part of preparations for the new session, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi, inaugurated the Hall Wardens on Friday, 24 October 2025. He reminded them of their responsibility to maintain discipline and order in the hostels.

The Vice-Chancellor further cautioned students against selling or transferring bed spaces, stressing that anyone found guilty would face disciplinary measures in line with university regulations.

Students have also been urged to comply fully with hostel rules to ensure a safe and organised environment for learning.

RSU Ready to Welcome Students Back

The management of RSU looks forward to welcoming both new and returning students for another productive academic year. With hostel facilities opening on time and measures set in place for discipline and safety, the university aims to provide a supportive atmosphere for academic and personal growth.
