SAZU Matriculation Date, Fee and Gown Return 2026

Sa'adu Zungur University (SAZU) has released official details for the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The notice came from the Matriculation Committee and was signed for the university.

The ceremony will hold on Wednesday, 28th January, 2026; SAZU will run it at the same time at two locations: Gadau Campus and Yuli Campus.

Fresh students should note the dual-campus arrangement; each student should follow the campus plan given to them (same ceremony, different grounds).

Matriculation fee and payment method

All matriculating students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N1,000 via Remita. After payment, the student must present the payment receipt at the designated point for collection of the academic gown; no receipt, no gown (simple).

Academic gown collection and return

SAZU tied gown collection to proof of payment. After the event, students must return the academic gown to the collection point on or before Friday, 30 Jan 2026.

Late return penalty

SAZU stated a late return penalty of N5,000. Any student who fails to return the gown by the stated deadline will be required to pay the N5,000 fee; that figure is fixed in the notice, so students should avoid last-minute delays.

Final note to fresh students

The Matriculation Committee issued the notice and signed it for the university. All newly admitted students are advised to comply with the stated guidelines for a smooth matriculation ceremony; nobody needs a gown penalty story after the oath.
