Available diploma programmes

Applicants can choose from two programmes.

Family Healthcare Technician

This programme trains health workers to provide comprehensive primary care for all age groups, from newborns to the elderly.

Its key focus areas include household-level health assessment, record-keeping and basic diagnostics. The notice also states that this role is placed a step above a Community Health Extension Worker in diagnostic ability and use of technology.

Public Health Superintendent Programme

This programme trains professionals to supervise and coordinate public health activities at local government and community levels.

The curriculum places attention on epidemiology and disease control.

Entry requirements

Interested candidates must meet these conditions:

At least four credit passes in relevant O'Level subjects
Results can come from WASSCE, SSCE or an equivalent examination
Credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings
A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory for Science courses
