TAU Granted Approval for IJMB Programme

In a commendable feat, Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) has been given the green light by the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) to admit candidates for the IJMB programme. The approval was granted on June 2nd, 2023, following a successful preliminary visit by IJMB officials.

TAU's Commendable Step

This approval positions TAU to provide students with an alternative to the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), run by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The IJMB programme is a one-year advanced level curriculum designed to facilitate enrolment into Nigerian institutions.

The IJMB officials were thoroughly impressed with TAU's adherence to quality education and its commitment to fostering students' academic growth. During their preliminary visit, they found that the university possessed the necessary resources and facilities to effectively deliver the IJMB programme.

Validation of Quality

Expressing their satisfaction, Prof. Haruna Aminu, the IJMB Coordinator, commended the university for its readiness and commitment to meeting the requirements for hosting the IJMB programme. The team found that the institution showed great enthusiasm in providing a strong platform for IJMB candidates to achieve their academic ambitions.

On her part, the Vice-Chancellor of TAU, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, expressed her delight at the approval. She views it as a testament to their commitment to providing quality education and expanding access to higher learning opportunities.
