UNIBEN Distance Learning Undergraduate Degree Programme Admission

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Undergraduate Degree Programme Admission for the 2023/2024 session is now open.

This programme offers candidates the opportunity to earn a B.Sc degree in Accounting through distance learning.

General Admission Requirements

To apply for the B.Sc in Accounting programme via Open and Distance Learning (ODL) at UNIBEN, you must meet the following requirements:

1. O' Level Requirements: You must have at least five credits in subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any two other relevant subjects from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.
2. National Diploma: If you have a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant course with merit, you may qualify for admission into the 200 level of the programme.

Method of Application

Follow these steps to apply:

1. Payment: Purchase the application form online using a valid VERVE or MASTER CARD from any commercial bank in Nigeria. The application fee is ₦13,500, excluding bank charges.
2. Online Application: All payments and applications must be completed through the UNIBEN Centre for Distance Learning website.
3. Form Submission: Ensure the application form is filled out accurately with all required information before submitting it online. Forms that are not properly completed will not be processed.

Application Procedure

To apply for the UNIBEN ODL programme, follow these steps:

1. Visit the UNIBEN Centre for Distance Learning website.
2. Click on "Student Portal" under the "Portal Login" menu.
3. Select "Application" and then click on "Centre For Distance Learning Programmes 2023/2024."
4. Register for the application by entering your name, JAMB registration number (if available) and a valid email address.
5. Your login details will be sent to your email.
6. Log in using the details provided and click on "Application record" to continue.
7. Fill out the form with the required details, confirm the uploaded passport photograph and click "Save."
8. Proceed to "Create and make online payment" to pay the application fee.
9. Select "Pay via Remita" and confirm your details.
10. Authorize the payment by entering your card details and clicking "Pay."
11. After successful payment, download your payment receipt and application slip.
