UNIBEN Resumption Date for 2022/2023 Session
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has moved the resumption date for the 2022/2023 academic session to July 2nd, 2023 for new students, to ensure adequate preparation and logistics management. However, the date for returning students remains June 10th, 2023, with lectures starting on June 13th, 2023.
In a strategic move to ensure seamless academic proceedings, the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has shifted the resumption date for the 2022/2023 academic session. The university's management cites the need for comprehensive preparation and logistics management for incoming new students as the primary reason for this adjustment.
Revised Resumption Date for New Students
The initial resumption date slated for Saturday, 3rd June, has now been moved to Sunday, 2nd July, 2023. This one-month extension will provide ample time for the institution to prepare the necessary facilities and resources to accommodate the influx of new students.

Resumption Date for Returning Students
However, it's important to note that the resumption date for returning students remains unchanged. Old students are expected to return to campus on the 10th of June, 2023. The commencement of lectures for these students is set for the 13th of June, 2023.
Returning students are advised to take note of these dates and plan accordingly to ensure they resume academic activities promptly.
Online Registration for Newly Admitted Students
In addition to the resumption date announcement, the university has also issued a directive for newly admitted students.
All new students are expected to complete their online registration process before the new resumption date. This will allow the university to adequately plan for their arrival and academic commencement.
