The Confucius Institute, University of Lagos, UNILAG, has informed the general public that no staff member is authorised at any time to collect fees, process admissions, issue receipts or transact any business on behalf of the Institute.
The message is direct; members of the public are to deal with the Institute through the approved channel only.
What the Institute said
The Institute warned the public to be careful of fraudulent individuals who may falsely claim to represent it.
It also stated that it will not be responsible for any payment, agreement or transaction made through unauthorised persons. That notice is plain, and very clear.
Approved payment channel
The Institute said all payments must be made strictly through the UNILAG REMITA payment portal.
Any request for payment or assistance from an individual, outside that channel, should be disregarded.
