The Registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, FCIML, shared this decision.

The change began on 22 April 2025 and will end on 2 June 2025.

Understand the New Arrangement

Before now, graduates who failed to collect certificates by 17 January 2025 faced a weekly penalty.

The penalty was a charge of ₦3,000 added every week.

Many appeals were sent by parents, friends and alumni asking for a change.

Management listened and paused the weekly penalty for six weeks.

As of 22 April 2025, the extra charge had grown to ₦39,000 for affected graduates.

Act Before the Deadline

Graduates have until 2 June 2025 to collect certificates without extra charges adding up.

After 2 June 2025, the weekly ₦3,000 penalty will start again.

The university made this decision to ease the burden on graduates.

All concerned graduates should collect certificates within the given period.

Failure to act before the deadline means the charges will continue to rise again.
