UNIPORT Orientation Programme for First Year Students (2025/2026): Date, time, venue

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has scheduled its orientation programme for duly registered first year students for the 2025/2026 session. The programme is set to hold on a single day, with a fixed start time and venue; students are expected to attend and take part.

Orientation date

UNIPORT fixed the orientation for Tuesday, 20th Jan, 2026.

Orientation time

The programme starts at 10.00 a.m. (arrive early; late entry can disrupt seating and order).

Orientation venue

UNIPORT listed the venue as New Convocation Arena, University Park (Abuja Campus).

Who should attend

The orientation is for:

• duly registered first year students of UNIPORT, for the 2025/2026 session.

Students who fall into that group should treat this as an official campus event, not a casual gathering.

What to expect at the UNIPORT orientation

UNIPORT stated that the orientation will give first year students the chance to:

• interact with university officials and get informed about rules and regulations guiding student life,
• ask questions and get clarification on matters of interest during the session.

Attendance is mandatory

UNIPORT stated that attendance is mandatory for all first year students and that students are expected to participate fully in the discussions. Missing it is not presented as an option.
