UNIPORT Sandwich Degree Admission Form 2024/2025/2026

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has begun the sale of admission forms for its Sandwich Degree Programme under the Faculty of Education. The notice invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 sessions. The programmes cover Post-NCE and Post-SSC entry routes, giving room for candidates with varied backgrounds to join the School of Sandwich Programmes.

Courses Available for UNIPORT Sandwich Applicants

Students can choose from several education-based fields designed to support teaching skills across different subject areas.

• Educational Foundations and Arts
• Educational Management, Social Studies and Business Education
• Educational Curriculum, Science Education and Educational Technology
• Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling
• Sport and Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Environmental and Safety Education
• Adult and Non-Formal Education
• Library Science and Information Technology
• Early Childhood and Primary Education

Post-SSC graduates admitted into the programme will remain eligible for the National Youth Service Corps.

Admission Requirements for the Sandwich Programme

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

• O’Level Credits: Five credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE, including English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects linked to the teaching area.
• University Certificate Holders: Candidates with a credit pass in the UNIPORT Certificate Programme or equivalent certificates from recognised universities.
• HND or First Degree Holders: Eligible for a two-year route, provided they complete all compulsory education courses, GES courses and teaching practice exercises in years 1 and 2.
• OND Holders: Will enrol for three years and must complete compulsory education courses, GES courses and teaching practice exercises in years 1 and 2.
• NCE Merit Pass: Admitted into the Post-NCE programme.

How to Obtain the Admission Form

Forms are available at the School of Sandwich Programmes, Choba Campus, University of Port Harcourt. Applicants are expected to obtain and complete the form within the official window set by the school.
