WEMA Bank runs Hackaholics to find new ideas in tech.
You can enter as a coder, founder, or idea builder.
The contest brings in people from across Africa to work on digital tools.
You can join from any background or skill level.
You do not need a coding degree.
Pick your contest path
This year has two tracks:
- The Hackathon for teams who want to code and build tools fast.
- The Startup Pitch for founders who want to pitch ideas to judges and funders.

WEMA Bank offers:
- Cash prizes and funding worth up to ₦200 million.
- One-on-one advice from people in tech and banking.
- Use of WEMA Bank’s tech tools and API.
- A chance to work at WEMA or join its innovation team.
- Access to job roles and business contacts.
- Public exposure during the contest.
Follow the contest steps
Stage 1: Application
Send your details to join the contest.
All types of builders, coders, and founders can take part.
Stage 2: Regional Preliminaries
Shortlisted teams will compete by region.
Mentors will help improve your work before the final stage.
Stage 3: Final Demo
Top teams will show their work to a panel of judges.
The panel includes tech heads and senior bank staff.
Stage 4: Grand Finale
Winners will get cash, support, and a chance to work with WEMA Bank.
