Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) Convocation Ceremony: Full Details and Events

The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has announced its 36th Convocation Ceremony.

This event will honour graduates from the 2022/2023 Full-Time and 2023/2024 Part-Time academic sessions.

The ceremony will include the award of diplomas, certificates, and prizes.

Programme of Events

The convocation ceremony will take place over seven days with various activities scheduled.

• Inter-Denominational Service
  • Date: Sunday, 17th November 2024
  • Venue: Yusuf Grillo Auditorium
  • Time: 4:00 p.m.
• Convocation Lecture
  • Date: Tuesday, 19th November 2024
  • Topic: Developing Exportable Alternatives for Nigeria’s Economic Recovery
  • Speaker: His Excellency, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Governor of Lagos State)
  • Chairman: His Excellency, Alhaji Kashim Shettima GCON (Vice-President of Nigeria)
  • Venue: Yusuf Grillo Art Auditorium
  • Time: 11:00 a.m.
• Alumni Homecoming and Exhibition
  • Date: Wednesday, 20th November 2024
  • Venue: Various Schools of the College
  • Time: 11:00 a.m.
• Convocation Ceremony
  • Date: Thursday, 21st November 2024
  • Venue: Phillip Adegbile Sports Complex/Convocation Ground
  • Time: 11:00 a.m.
  • Guest of Honour: Dr Morufu Olatunji Alausa (Honourable Minister of Education)

Important Information for Graduands

All graduands are expected to attend fully robed and seated at the convocation arena by 9:00 a.m.

Graduands can collect academic gowns free of charge from their respective School Officers between Monday, 11th November and Wednesday, 20th November 2024.

Gowns must be returned no later than Tuesday, 26th November 2024.

Late returns will incur a fine of N1,000 per day starting from Tuesday, 26th November 2024.

Defaulting graduands will not be allowed to collect certificates, transcripts, or other records until gowns are returned and fines paid.
