Whatever the story is, if you’re looking to get into science or tech at the diploma level, College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia (COASTLAFIA) has a space carved out for you.
Their Pre-ND programme for the 2025/2026 session is now open. It’s a one-year journey (two semesters) built to help students who need a stronger base before diving into full ND.

What you need to get in
Let’s break this down in plain talk. To qualify for COASTLAFIA’s Pre-ND in Science and Technology, here’s what you must bring to the table:
- Four credit-level passes in not more than two sittings
- Maths and English? Compulsory. No negotiation there.
- Then pick two more from these: Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Geography or Economics.
Your results can come from GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or anything they accept as equivalent.
It’s not rocket science. Just make sure you have your papers sorted before filling anything.
How the application works
Applying is not hard, but you’ll need to pay attention. A little mistake can delay the whole thing.
- Head to the COASTLAFIA application portal.
- Open an account with your details.
- Generate a CBS invoice reference number from the site.
- Take that number to any bank and pay ₦6,000 for the form.
That’s it. No long talk.
But here’s the part where people mess up — the dates.
Portal opens: 8th September, 2025
Portal closes: 18th October, 2025
