FCE, Okene PDE Admission Form: Everything You Need to Know

The Federal College of Education, Okene, is inviting applications for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDE) for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This programme is specifically designed and approved by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (T.R.C.N) for teachers and prospective teachers who do not possess the minimum teaching qualification, such as the Nigeria Certificate in Education.

The PDE is equivalent to the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) offered by various Nigerian universities and qualifies graduates to pursue a Master’s in Education.

FCE Okene Postgraduate Diploma Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, candidates must hold one of the following qualifications:

• Higher National Diploma (HND)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s Degree
• Doctorate Degree

This programme is open to those teaching in Colleges of Education, Colleges of Agriculture, Law Schools, Universities, and other educational institutions. Prospective teachers with these qualifications are also eligible. It is important to note that only individuals with professional teaching qualifications recognized by TRCN will be eligible for teaching employment at all levels of education in Nigeria.

Duration of the PDE Programme

The PDE programme at FCE Okene has a duration of six months.

How to Apply for FCE Okene Postgraduate Diploma Admission Form

Interested applicants should follow these steps to apply:

1. Pay the application fee of N5000.
2. Visit the College Web-portal (https://fceokene.waeup.org).
3. Click on the application link and select your category, i.e., Diploma Programmes 2024/2025.
4. Fill out the form and make the online payment using ATM cards (Master or Verve) at any functional cyber café.
5. Download and print the payment receipt and application form.

The closing date for all applications is 30th October 2024.
