FUNAAB Notice on Refund of Overpaid NELFUND Student Loan

The management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has shared an update on the NELFUND student loan payment. An error occurred during the loan disbursement process, which led to some students receiving more money than the amount they applied for.

Following this development, the university has directed all affected students to return the extra funds paid into their accounts.

Students who received more than approved are required to visit the Students’ Union Building. There, they will meet the Director of Finance and the Director of Treasury to collect the already generated Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the refund. Payment must be made after collecting the RRR.

All refunds must be completed on or before the end of the lecture-free week.

Any student who fails to return the excess amount within the given period will not be allowed to take examinations. The extra payment will be treated as unpaid school fees.

Affected students are urged to act quickly and complete the refund process without delay.
