KWACAILS Admission Forms 2025/2026

Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin, has opened its doors for the 2025/2026 academic year. With approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the college is taking applications for several new National Diploma (ND) courses, alongside its regular diploma programmes.

Approved ND Courses Now Available

The college now offers the following ND programmes:

• Law
• Common and Islamic Law
• Computer Science
• Accountancy
• Library Science
• Mass Communication

If you already sat for UTME and meet the required scores, you'll need to change your first-choice school on the JAMB portal and make CAILS your top pick.

Ongoing Admissions Into Other Regular Programmes

Alongside the ND courses, CAILS is also admitting students into its long-standing diploma tracks. These include:

A. Centre for Degree and Professional Programmes (CDPP)

• Professional Diploma in Education (PDE)
• Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies (ADLS)
• Imamship Programme

B. School of Arts and Islamic Studies (2 years)

• Diploma in English and History
• Diploma in English and Islamic Studies
• Diploma in Islamic Studies and Yoruba

C. School of Languages (2 years)

• Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies (Arabic Medium)
• Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies (English Medium)
• Diploma in Arabic-English

D. School of Education (3 years, equivalent to NCE)

• Diploma in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Education
• Diploma in Islamic Studies, English and Education
• Diploma in Islamic Studies, Yoruba and Education

Graduates from these courses can gain direct entry into HND or 200-level degree programmes at polytechnics and universities in Nigeria or abroad.

Who Can Apply?

To get in, you'll need one of these:

• WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB with at least 4 credits in teaching subjects
• Thanawiyyah or Tawjihiyyah certificate from a recognised Arabic school
• A certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies from any approved tertiary body
• SAISSCE result accepted by NBAIS
• Any other result the college sees as equal to the ones above
