Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) is now selling admission forms for its 12th Regular Course. This post breaks down who can apply, how to register, and what comes after.
So, you want to wear the uniform and hold a degree too? The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano, is calling for applications into its 12th Regular Course. It’s a five-year mix of classroom work and police training. If you make it in, you graduate with a degree and a badge as an ASP (Assistant Superintendent of Police). Sound like something you’re up for?

Application Timeline
The online form goes live 28 July 2025 and shuts down 8 September 2025. That gives you six weeks. Don’t wait till the final hour. That’s how people get locked out.
Who Can Apply?
This isn’t open to just anyone. Here’s the list:
- Must be Nigerian by birth
- Must have a National Identification Number (NIN)
- Must have sat for 2025 JAMB, scored at least 180, and picked POLAC as first choice
- Must have six credits (including English and Maths) in WAEC or NECO, max of two sittings
- Must be between 16 and 21 years old by 31 October 2025
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Boys must be at least 1.67m tall, girls 1.64m
- Boys also need a chest width of at least 86cm
- Must be single, not married, and not pregnant
- Must have a valid phone number and email
- Results from before 2021 won’t count
How To Apply
- Go to the POLAC admission site
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code
- Take it to any bank and pay ₦6000 (this covers the form and screening test)
- Fill out the form online

Upload scans of:
- Your O’Level result
- Birth certificate
- Certificate of origin
- Print out the filled application form and guarantor form

What Comes Next?
1. Aptitude Test
Every applicant will sit for a CBT test at the academy in Wudil. The date will be shared later. Keep your eyes on your inbox.
2. Physical Screening
If your CBT score meets the mark, you’ll be called in for a physical check. Come along with:
- Your original credentials
- Fitness proof from a recognised government hospital
- Character reference from your village/district head
- Local government indigene certificate
- A filled guarantor form (from a GL13 officer, CSP, or equivalent in the military or paramilitary)
3. Medical Screening
Pass the physical screening? You’ll move on to the medical round.
4. Final Interview
This is where they decide if you’ve got what it takes. If you pass, you’ll get a confirmation via email and SMS.

Duration and Outcome
The entire course runs for five years. That includes both academic and police training. When you graduate, you’ll receive a Bachelor’s degree and get commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as an ASP II.
