NYSC New DG Guarantees Payment of N77,000 Alawi in March

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps has confirmed a new allowance for Corps Members.
The new monthly payment is ₦77,000.
This takes effect from March 2025.
Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu shared the update during a visit to Corps Members.
He spoke at the NYSC zonal offices in Wuse and Garki, Federal Capital Territory.
The DG assured all Corps Members that payment will be made as promised.
He said NYSC and the Federal Government are committed to Corps Members’ needs.
He asked all Corps Members to stay calm and carry out duties with order and care.
He praised the work of those who started the Scheme.
He called on everyone to support the NYSC.
He said the Scheme helps graduates meet people and understand cultures outside their birthplaces.
He said the Scheme will continue to promote good behaviour, unity, teamwork, and leadership among Corps Members.
He also said record keeping will ensure that all allowances are paid.
He ended by thanking Corps Members for their service.
At the Garki office, a Corps Member named Zaka Deborah Alheri (FC/24A/5831) spoke on behalf of others.
She thanked the Director General for working toward the allowance increase.
Corps Members are advised to remain patient and wait for the March allowance.
