Standard College of Nursing Sciences in Minna is now accepting applications for its 18-month Post Community Nursing and Midwifery programmes. These courses help RCNs and RCMs become fully registered nurses or midwives. Application closes 28 June 2025.

Standard College Opens 2025 Post Community Nursing Admissions

Standard College of Nursing Sciences, Minna has started selling admission forms for the Post Community Nursing and Post Community Midwifery programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. If you already hold a licence as a Registered Community Nurse (RCN) or Midwife (RCM), this 18-month full-time course offers a direct route to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM).

About the Programmes

The college, fully accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), runs these courses to help community-trained health workers build stronger, broader skills for hospital and community practice.

Post Community Nursing

This track trains RCNs to manage both chronic and emergency care. It covers disease prevention, basic surgeries, and long-term patient care in hospitals or clinics.

Post Community Midwifery

This one focuses on safe pregnancy care, delivery, postnatal support, and family planning. It prepares RCMs to serve in maternal health units, especially in rural and high-need areas.

How to Apply

Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Go to the application portal
  2. Sign up with a working email and phone number
  3. Fill out your personal, academic, and work history
  4. Pay the ₦25,000 application fee through the portal (card, USSD, or bank transfer)
  5. Upload required documents, including your O’Level results and professional licence
  6. Submit your application and print out the slip

After submission, shortlisted applicants will be contacted for screening. You can check your application status anytime on the admission portal.
