UNIABUJA Matriculation 2025/2026: Date, Time, Venue

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), now Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, has invited the university community and the general public to the formal Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony marks the official induction of newly admitted students into the “University for National Unity”; a Fresh start, with clear rules.

What matriculating students must do

All matriculating students are required to arrive early to support a smooth procession; late movement can disrupt the order.

Students must be seated by 9:00 a.m. The ceremony is mandatory for all fresh students, and it signals formal admission into the university and commitment to the university’s academic standards and codes of conduct.
