UNILAG DLI Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Admission Form

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) DLI Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) Admission is open for the 2024/2025 academic session. This programme provides training in education for those with degrees in fields other than education. Delivered online, the programme covers science, maths, technology, adult education, and more. Eligibility for UNILAG DLI PGDE Admission

To be eligible for the UNILAG DLI PGDE Admission, a candidate must:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised university with at least a third class.
• Possess a Higher National Diploma with at least lower credit from a recognised institution.
• Have completed or be exempted from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
• Meet other requirements set by the University Senate.
• Courses are conducted entirely online.

Duration of the PGDE Programme

The PGDE programme through the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode spans two academic sessions. This flexible approach allows candidates to balance their studies with other commitments.

How to Apply for UNILAG DLI PGDE Admission Form

Application forms are available online and must be submitted by Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Follow these steps to apply:

1. Visit the UNILAG Application Portal. Check course availability and eligibility.
2. Start a Fresh Application: Select the Postgraduate option.
3. Complete the Pre-Application Form: Obtain a Payment Reference Number and print the payment advice.
4. Make Payment: Pay the non-refundable fee of N30,000.00 through:
   • Remita Payment: Use the RRR number at any commercial bank.
   • Online Payment: Pay directly on the portal using a debit card.
5. Continue the Application: Log in with the Payment Reference Number and surname in lowercase as the password.
6. Complete and Submit the Form: Upload a digital passport photograph (jpeg format) with a white background, not more than 15KB in size.

Note: Submit the form only after it is complete. Editing after submission incurs a charge of N1,000.

Important Notes for Applicants

• Carefully read programme requirements to ensure eligibility.
• Those awaiting degree results or currently in postgraduate programmes, and Nigerian citizens who have not completed NYSC, are not eligible.
• Degrees from Outreach/Satellite campuses are not accepted.
• Upload all required documents, including Degree Certificates, NYSC Certificate, and Professional Certificates.
• Send academic transcripts to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies by post or email to adminsecspgs@unilag.edu.ng.
