UNILAG Extends Screening Exercise for 2025/2026 Fresh Students
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has extended the 2025/2026 screening and registration exercise for newly admitted undergraduate students. The process now runs for an extra two weeks, from Monday, 1 December to Friday, 12 December 2025.
This update gives fresh UTME and Direct Entry candidates extra time to complete all checks and submit their papers.
New screening dates at University of Lagos (UNILAG)
The screening and registration exercise stays strictly faculty based. Each faculty handles its own freshers at set dates, venues and times inside the UNILAG campus. New students are advised to follow the timetable shared by their faculty so that their details can be checked without delay.
The extension covers all newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates who have not yet taken part in the screening. Those who have already gone through the process do not need to repeat it.
Required documents and registration steps
Before going to campus, freshers should gather all key papers, such as:
- Admission letter from JAMB
- Evidence of UTME or Direct Entry result
- O’level result prints as requested by the university
- Birth certificate or statutory age declaration
- Evidence of payment for approved UNILAG charges
- Any other document listed in the official guideline
These papers help the university confirm each student’s admission status and personal details.
For a full list of required documents and step-by-step guidance on the registration process, candidates should read the full UNILAG screening and registration guidelines.
Who should still report for screening
Any newly admitted UTME or Direct Entry candidate who has not yet appeared for screening should make use of the new dates. Students should keep copies of all submitted documents and follow any extra notes from their departments or faculty offices.
By following the updated timetable and guidance, new students can finish their checks on time and start their academic life at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) with fewer delays.
