UNILORIN Appoints Oloyede, 2 Others as Emeritus Professors

The Senate of the University of Ilorin has approved the appointment of three retirees as emeritus professors. This decision was made during the university’s 304th meeting, highlighting their exceptional contributions to education and research.
Names of the Appointed Emeritus Professors
- Prof. Is’haq Oloyede
Prof. Oloyede retired from the university’s service in October 2024.
He served as a Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin.
He is the current Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. - Prof. Olu Obafemi
Prof. Obafemi is a distinguished scholar in English and Dramatic Literature.
He retired from the University of Ilorin in 2020. - Prof. Musbau Akanji
Prof. Akanji is an accomplished scholar in Biochemistry.
He is a former Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, and the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
He retired in 2021.
