GIAF Scholarship 2026: eligibility and application

The General Ibrahim Attahiru Foundation, GIAF, has opened the Education Scholarship Programme 2026 for applications. The scheme is for tertiary institution students who show academic excellence and meet the stated requirements.
Who can apply
The scholarship is open to applicants who are dependants of serving, retired, or deceased Nigerian Army personnel. Applicants must also show exceptional academic performance in their O-level and JAMB results.
Applicants from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria are eligible. Gender balance and inclusivity are also considered.
Application rules

The Foundation states that anyone who is not a dependent of Nigerian Army personnel should not apply. Every detail submitted must be correct; inaccurate information leads to disqualification.
The application accepts the official JAMB result slip only. Applicants should not upload a JAMB registration slip or an SMS result screenshot.
Any application submitted without the required documents will not be processed.

Applicants need to provide:
- Official JAMB Result Slip
- School Testimonial
- Official WAEC or NECO Result
- Official Admission Letter
Selection process
The selection process includes thorough screening and vetting. Only qualified and deserving applicants will be selected.
