Categories of Applicants

Augustine University accepts applications from different groups of candidates. Each group has its own entry route, so applicants should follow the category that fits their qualification.

UTME Applicants

Prospective candidates seeking admission into Augustine University must be at least 16 years old by October of the admission year. They must also have completed secondary school and hold at least five O’Level credit passes at one or two sittings.

The accepted results include West African SSCE, GCE, NECO, or approved equivalents. The five credits must include English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects relevant to the chosen course.

UTME applicants awaiting SSCE or GCE results can also apply.

UTME candidates must have chosen AUI as their first-choice school in the UTME examination for the admission year. Candidates who did not choose AUI as first choice may still apply, but they must process their change of school on the JAMB portal before screening, since JAMB grants admission to Nigerian schools.

Direct Entry Applicants

Direct Entry candidates can apply if they hold OND, A’Level, JUPEB or equivalent certificates. They must also have obtained the Direct Entry form of the admission year from JAMB.

This route suits candidates applying with post-secondary qualifications.

Transfer Applicants

Transfer applicants from other universities must have an admission letter from the university where they first gained admission. That letter makes them eligible for the transfer admission process.
