LASUSTECH NUC Accreditation Results 2025

Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH, has released the outcome of its 2025 undergraduate programme accreditation by the National Universities Commission, NUC.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, shared the result with the university community, noting that 13 out of the 14 programmes presented received full accreditation.

One programme received interim accreditation.

LASUSTECH Programmes With NUC Full Accreditation

LASUSTECH presented programmes across five colleges for the 2025 NUC accreditation exercise, and most of them came back with full status; that is the main point students, parents and staff will want to see first.

The approved programmes are listed below by college.

College of Basic Sciences

• Industrial Mathematics – full accreditation

College of Applied Social Sciences

• Insurance – full accreditation
• Tourism and Hospitality Management – full accreditation

College of Environmental Design and Technology

• Estate Management and Valuation – full accreditation
• Quantity Surveying – full accreditation
• Building Technology – full accreditation
• Urban and Regional Planning – full accreditation

College of Engineering and Technology

• Food Science and Bio-Technology – full accreditation
• Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering – full accreditation
• Civil and Construction Engineering – full accreditation
• Computer Engineering – full accreditation
• Mechanical Engineering – full accreditation
• Mechatronics Engineering – full accreditation

LASUSTECH Programme With Interim Accreditation

Electrical and Electronics Engineering received interim accreditation from NUC.

That was the only programme out of the 14 presented that did not receive full status during the 2025 accreditation exercise.

ARCON Accreditation for Architecture

LASUSTECH also secured full accreditation for Architecture from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria, ARCON.

This result sits outside the NUC list, but it still forms part of the accreditation update released by the university.

LASUSTECH Accreditation Record So Far

With the latest outcome, LASUSTECH said the new university has recorded success across all 39 programmes presented for accreditation since its emergence.

The university said none of the programmes presented so far has failed accreditation.

For a young university, that line carries weight; students checking LASUSTECH courses often want to know whether the programmes they plan to study have passed the required checks.

Vice-Chancellor’s Message to Staff and Students

Professor Odusanya thanked members of staff and students for the achievement recorded during the accreditation process.

He also urged the university community to build on the result as preparation begins for the 2026 accreditation exercise.
